Salma Series :'' He Texted Me Then Vanished''.

πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ He Texted Me… Then Vanished

It started so unexpectedly. You know how life throws people into your path just like that? One moment you're done with high school, and the next—boom—you’re bumping into a familiar Instagram face in the same computer school.

He had followed me a while back. Just a random follower. Nothing more. I never really gave it attention until one day.  I decided to deactivate my Instagram. I needed that peace. That silence. That break from the scroll.

But guess who noticed?

Out of nowhere, my WhatsApp pinged:

"I'm not seeing your posts anymore. Where did you disappear to?"

I blinked twice. Him?

I told him I had deactivated my IG for a while and that I’d be back soon. That’s when he dropped it:

> "I’m actually interested in you… Can we date?"

My heart? Oh, it did that small butterfly thing. Not too wild, just a light flutter. I said yes. We started talking daily—laughs, voice notes, late-night convos that got a little too deep for comfort. He made it feel like something was finally aligning. Like someone saw me… really saw me.

But just when I thought we were building something—he vanished.

No texts. No calls. No “hey.” No nothing.

Like he took all the energy he gave me… and ran.

I kept checking my phone. Wondering if I did something wrong. Rereading chats like they held secret clues. Nothing made sense. We went from “good morning, love” to dead silence.

And that’s when I realized:

Sometimes, people come into your life just to remind you what it feels like to be wanted… before reminding you how it feels to be left.

So here’s to the boy who texted me… then vanished.

You didn’t break meπŸ’”—you reminded me how strong I can be when I pick myself back up.πŸ’–

  1. Life is a constantly unfolding journey—full of uncertainty, beauty, challenge, and growth. It rarely goes as planned, but often that's where its richness lies: in the unexpected moments, the quiet resilience, and the connections we build along the way.
